Regional E-Learning course on Integrated Action on Biodiversity/Ecosystems, Health and Climate for ESCAP member states and stakeholders. The eLearning course is developed in partnership between the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) and the French Embassy in Thailand.
This course was developed to support policy makers and sustainable development practitioners in developing strategies.
The next session (6 weeks) will begin on November 7th - December 16th, 2016. The concept of Green Growth emerged in the Asia-Pacific region to turn resource constraints and the climate crisis into an economic opportunity that generates a double dividend.
This course is deigned to raise the awareness of impact of climate change on regional economies and the urgency for climate action, to share ideas for potential overlaps with COVID19 responses, in addition to understanding and testing the available tools for compliance with the Paris Agreement.
This course introduces the key concepts of Resource Efficiency, how to measure it, and why it is important in the context of sustainable development, as well as policy pathways for promoting Resource Efficiency with a focus on Asia and the Pacific.
The purpose of the Executive Training course is to inform and support dialogue among attendees of CED-6 on the current situation within environment and development in Asia-Pacific and to provide tools and methodologies for addressing evolving trends and challenges.
Sustainable, livable cities are the way forward for the future of Asia-Pacific. The 2030 Agenda implementation urges to advance urban SDG with other SDGs, related to resilience of water infrastructure to climate change.
